The measurement principle is based on the phenomenon of expansion of the liquid placed in the capillary tube, which under the influence of temperature changes changes its volume and causes the deflection of the pointer against the background of the thermometer dial with the temperature scale marked on it. The thermometer has the option of calibrating its indications by the adjustment screw on the back wall.
