Float sensor SLS-1075-SS-2A1A

It is used wherever it is necessary to control and regulate the level of liquids (e.g. water, oil, etc.).

The sensor has a float equipped with a magnet that moves vertically along the guide tube under the influence of the buoyancy force of the liquid, causing the reed switch to close or open.

They are usually mounted in the bottom or lid of the tank, so they can be used to control the lower or upper level of the liquid. By changing the position of the float, the function of the reed switch is changed from normally open to normally closed.

We offer floats from 45mm to 500mm, check out our other products.

Technical data:

  • max. switching voltage:300V AC/DC
  • max. switching current:0.5A
  • max. switching power:50W
  • The length of the float from the screw:75mm
  • Operating temperature:-30 ~+125 °C
  • Cable length:25cm
  • Material:SUS304 stainless steel

Float operating mode:

1. Normally open- when the liquid level drops below the level of the sensor, the circuit will be disconnected

2. Normally closed- when the liquid level drops below the level of the sensor, the circuit will be turned on

Instructions for changing the float's operating mode:

1. Float operating in normally openmode.

2. Remove the cotter pin, making sure that the float does not slip off the sensor.

3. Turn the float 180°.

4. Put the float on the sensor.

5. Install the safety cotter pin.

6. Float operating in normally closedmode.

The operation can be redone and adapted to your requirements.

Example of use:

1. Automatic tank filling

2. Tank overflow alarm, pumping water above the float, safety valve.

Advantages of this solution:

  • Safe supply voltage for ssr relay and float (possibility of using voltage in the range: 3 to 24VDC),
  • High reliability due to ssr relay
  • Automation of filling or emptying the tank - alarm
  • No contact of the mains voltage with the liquid in the tank
